Artsti in mostra: Filippo Armellin, Michelangelo Penso, Dmitry Teselkin, Leonardo Ulian

The belly of whale circumscribes a physical and arcane space filled with narrative references. It is a neutral and dark space, the same size as where Pinocchio and Giona are sucked and swallowed. A space that implies bad fate for who enter in and, for some strange artifice, it became a place for salvation or the territory for a particular event.
The gallery's basement will appear to you as the cavity of a large whale, where does that leave the works of the four artists in exhibition who, in different ways, relate to his creeks and to his ravines, occuping a private space, relegated in a private enchantment.
The cavity is also receptacle for debris and organic remains, obsolete trasmitters and moments crystallized which evoch the ghosts of Achab and Montecristo.
Despite the multiplicity of styles, exists a common denominator found because the presented works are the product of a temporal screwing which keeps the viewer anchored to the same unknown land.

Filippo Armellin adds to the series of Land Cycles , a new step that is no longer a theme for a fictional territory, but for the sky. A wide rectangular portion of the night sky sprinkled with stars is his most recent fiction lens. The lighting effect is caused by the obtained from the drilling of a dark surface and the resulting photograph of the same. Through a simple artifice Armellin still managed to build an image of a strong symbolic value.

Michelangelo Penso Presents his newest production of structures made of Rubber Anti oil . The new forms, created by the Venetian artist, remember microcellular complex organisms with tentacles. The search of the right contrast between tension and subsequent release of the material, due to the gravity, appears to be an element strenuously sought by the artist.

Dmitry Teselkin focuses his work on the production of tiny pieces of cardboard initially carving by hand and then with the use of a laser. Of all of the LEGO bricks similar to the tiles, spliced between them, makes up the structure in continuous forms that recall the disquieting honeycomb facades of buildings. The other method of interlocking tiles produces different motifs ranging from rhythm and verticality horizontality. Small lives seem to come alive in every single cell , as if spoke of the equally unwise destinations that accompany them.

Leonardo Ulian The electronic is a part of the artist's DNA who employs transistors and microchip to build multicolored arabesques, very similar to intricate Mandala. The process of formation of the Mandala, by Tibetan monks, requires great dedication and the work of Leonardo is even more difficult because he creates an endless web of solder joints. The vintage's element of transistor sometimes leaves the place to the more contemporary microchips, and with a great structure interactive effect Theremin.
