On 16th november from 6 to 9 pm (presentation at 7 pm), the Punto Sull'arte Gallery is going to inaugurate Chaos And Beauty, an exhibition curated by Alessandra Redaelli.

Three artists' path through chaos and beauty. Three authors let the audience discover harmony and simmetry within chaos and the casualty of Nature.

Pure chaos is represented by Arcangelo Ciaurro's trees (1953). Knots of colour and matter to describe the Milky Way and crawling cellular microcosms. Built through spots and scratches, ruled by an emotional rhythm, they tell about primordial stories being interwoven with a superior order which is always underlined by the artist, who always selects perfectly squared frames.

On the other side, an almost geometrical order is chosen by Mario Branca (1977) for his metallic platoons of sunflowers and plants which blossom in a parallel and symmetrical pattern. Nonetheless they are alive, beating, filled with a soul. Enchanting at first, then they suddenly become cruel, as if their leaves were ready to harm.

In the end, we enter Matthias Brandes's world (1950), a rough, static and stony universe, created through oil and tempera technique. Among grouped houses, the trees emerge as solid as monoliths; order and chaos alternate, contradicting each other, within fixed geometries, Giottesque volumes, the madness of construction and spacial scan. A counterpoint of unique balances and perfect harmonies.

Mario Branca was born in Milan in 1977. He graduated in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in 2001. Since the beginning, he focused upon metal work, direcly forging his pieces of art. He won several awards, such as the Zurich club top 30 and the special mention at the last edition of the Wannabee prize in 2011. He took part in various solo and group exhibitions. His public works can be visited in Settimo Milanese, Vighignolo (Milan), Casalmaiocco (Sondrio), San Donato Milanese, Santa Margherita Ligure, Piacenza, Rh (Milan). He lives and works in Piacenza.

Matthias Brandes was born in Bochum in 1950. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and at the University of Hamburg. Since 1985 he regularly participates into solo and group exhibitions and is invited to the most important art fairs. His works belong to public and private collections. In 2012, during the Olympic Games, the OFA (Olympic Fine Arts, Bbeijing) bought one of his works to exhibit it at the Creative Cities Collection Fine Arts Exhibition in London. He lives and worka in Meolo (Venice).

Arcangelo Ciaurro was born in Castellaneta (Taranto) in 1953. He began painting when he was only 16 years old. His pictorial research developed towards an autonomous and independent style, both for the technical aspects and the subjects. Since 2011 he is represented by the Punto Sull'arte gallery. He lives and works in Varese, where he has been working as a painter since 1977.

The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with critical texts written by Alessandra Redaelli
