Inediti is the title of the exhibition opening on March 6th, 2014 at Gagliardi Art System, Turin.

This group show is intended to draw the public’s attention towards works and installations created by our gallery artists for solo shows, group shows, and art fairs in Italy and abroad over the last two years, which have never been exhibited in the spaces of Via Cervino 16. They have been redesigned as site-specific works to suit these spaces.

Paola Risoli presents her installation In Matisse – comprising two cans, 4 photographs and webcam footage – which she conceived especially for the exhibition Bonjour Monsieur Matisse, produced by the MAMAC museum in Nice in June 2013, to celebrate 50 years from the foundation of the Matisse Museum.

Jelena Vasiljev occupies the hall space with her installation Mi chiamo Jelena Vasiljev, come chiunque [My name, like anyone’s name, is Jelena Vasiljev]. The work is the product of three different performances she staged over one day, in different places and at different times, in the city of Varazdin (Croatia) in 2011, during the Performance Festival, and subsequently presented at different venues and institutions in Korea, in September 2012.

Margot Quan Knight is featured with her Surface videos, selected for the exhibition L’Altro Ritratto [The Other Portrait] at the Mart museum in Rovereto, which has recently closed with great critical acclaim and success with the public, while Davide Coltro presents his installation Crux, previously shown at Milan’s San Raffaele church in April 2013.

Richi Ferrero will exhibit his Sole Bianco, Sole Nero and Passaggio in bianco for the first time: «Squares, streets, rivers, hills - for many years they have been my stages, the canvases on which to paint my visions, the pages of my urban theater. Today I turn my binoculars backwards, creating installations that are like inward paintings, no longer made to be looked at for free by citizens in general, but by those who really want to appropriate them intimately, to own them, and exhibit them for what they are, works of art hanging on the walls»

The show is completed by the works of Glaser/Kunz, Daniele D’Acquisto, Aurore Valade and the video series La memoria dell’acqua [The memory of water] by Iranian artist Ahmad Nejad.
