Paci contemporary gallery is glad to present the Solo Show “Tibet – culture on the edge” by Phil Borges, a prize winner, worldwide acclaimed humanitarian reporter, and one of the greatest contemporary photographers.

The exhibition will show over 30 photographs of the series "Tibet", the result of over four years of work, that sums up Phil Borges’s experience, great knowledge and love for this country: with stunning imagery, Phil Borges brings us face to face with some of these remarkable people, who live in this extraordinary land, with their traditions and their culture.

The images of this series was published in a book published by Rizzoli (2011).

Phil Borges belongs to the "master artists" of American photography and, for over 25 years, he documents with passion the lives of tribal people around the world, using the vehicle of the "environmental portrait" to raise the issues of indigenous peoples and to diffuse their knowledge.

Phil Borges, award-winning humanitarian reporter, is conducted by a spiritual mission, which brings him until the farthest corners of the world to give voice to extraordinary and unique realities through his photography. His poetic ability to seize the suspended moment , and the denunciation of reality combines witness and art to create a true vocation.

His photography wants to give a voice to those who do not have it, and wants to diffuse the cultures that are gradually disappearing, with an emphasis on their value.

Award-winning for his humanitarian efforts in 2008, he collaborated with Amnesty International by publishing Enduring Spirit; its photographic collections have been translated into 4 languages and his works are exhibited in museums around the world.
