Judith Charles Gallery is pleased to present #PseudoReal, a group show curated by New York City native and artist, Eric Cahan. Representing the artist's personal interest and taste is this expansive collection of works by fellow artists Peter Demos, Michael Staniak, Carolyn Salas, Adam Parker Smith, Trong Nguyen, Rebecca Reeve, and Steph Gonzalez-Turner.

PseudoReal refers to the notion that not everything is what it appears to be. The works in this show are commonly perceived to represent one form but upon closer examination, beyond the surface, they are, in fact, another.

One of the artists featured in the show, Rebecca Reeve, presents photographs from her Marjory's World series. Placing curtains across the vistas of the Florida and Utah landscape, she evokes a 19th Century Dutch custom and transforms the scenes into surreal narratives.
