Erskine, Hall & Coe Gallery will hold an exciting Summer Exhibition, which will be open from the 13th of August through the 6th of September 2013 and will be featuring work by modern and contemporary British and international artists, including renowned Mexican ceramicist Gustavo Pérez.

Gustavo Pérez currently lives and works in Mexico, but his work has shown internationally and is owned by a number of museums worldwide, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Ceramic Art in Shiga, Japan, as well as the Keramikmuseum Westerwald in Höhr-Grenzhausen, Germany. He had a very successful solo show at Erskine, Hall & Coe from the 14th of March through the 5th of April 2012.

Artwork also to be shown by Vladimir Tsivin, Hyejeong Kim, Gillian Lowndes, Tim Rowan, Ian Auld, Ewen Henderson, George Ohr, Sara Flynn, John Ward, Matthew Harris, Keiichi Tanaka, Deirdre Hawthorne, Rafael Pérez, Anna Vannotti, Peter Collingwood, Colin Pearson, Gordon Crosby and classic British figures, including Catherine Yarrow.

Catherine Yarrow is a fascinating British artist of the 20th century. In addition to ceramics, she made prints, watercolours and drawings, many of which were shown in the 1930’s in Paris and in New York throughout the 1940’s, and were influential to many other British artists, including Ewen Henderson.

In addition the exhibition will feature artwork by one of Japan’s most distinguished artists, Yasuhisa Kohyama. Yasuhisa Kohyama is one of the most renowned Japanese ceramic artists working today. His work is featured in a number of international museums. He enjoyed an outstanding solo exhibition at Erskine, Hall & Coe, which led to the National Museum of Wales acquiring one of his pieces.
